Chess players from Hilton Head Island won two of three state titles at the S.C. Chess Championships.
Rade Muslin won the amateur section with a perfect score of five wins. Muslin is the former state high school champion and is a student at Lander University.
Michael Kruse was also undefeated and won the reserve section with a score of 4.5. Kruse is the owner of ChesSmart and a scholastic chess teacher.
