Photographer Jonathan Dyer, The Beaufort Gazette The original assignment I was at Beaufort High School to cover the Beaufort High versus Fort Dorchester football game Sept. 9. The Outtake Beaufort High School football games draw a big crowd, so I usually arrive about 20 minutes early to get a good parking spot. As I waited for the game to start, a nearly full moon began to rise just above the stadium. The sun hadn’t set, so it was a great time to get a shot of the moon. The Beaufort High School cheerleaders were warming up for the game, and while one of the girls was atop a pyramid formation, I shot this image.
