The University of South Carolina Beaufort invites local banks to help students set up bank accounts during the university's "Bank Day," from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Hilton Head Gateway Campus.
More than 400 students will be moving into their dorms, and parents are likely to accompany them, university officials noted.
"Making banking arrangements is typically one of the first things a person does when moving, so it's only natural this function takes place on campus," director of career services Rachel Hoover said in a news release. "... It's a mutually beneficial event for both students and local banking personnel."
Bank representatives interested in participating should respond to Hoover at email@example.com or 843-208-8263.
