Veterans to be honored in Hardeeville
The Hardeeville Youth Commission and Centennial Committee plan to pay tribute to the military at 11 a.m. Thursday in front of Hardeeville City Hall.
All veterans are encouraged to attend the program "Celebrating America's Freedoms with Hardeeville's Veterans" and will receive recognition. Residents are asked to attend to honor and thank those who have served.

Veterans Day parade, ceremony scheduled
The Beaufort County Veterans Affairs Office will host a Veterans Day parade followed by a ceremony at the Beaufort National Cemetery on Thursday.
The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. and will follow the city of Beaufort downtown parade route. Robert Waldrop, a World War II prisoner of war and Purple Heart recipient, will be grand marshal.
The Parris Island Marine Corps Band will perform at both the parade and ceremony, which begins at 11 a.m.
Brig. Gen. Frederick M. Padilla, commanding general at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, will be the keynote speaker.
A reception at the AMVETS Post No. 70 at 1831 Ribaut Road in Port Royal will immediately follow the ceremony.
