The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating the Monday night armed robbery of a St. Helena Island gas station.
According to a Sheriff's Office incident report, a man walked into the Exxon station on Sea Island Parkway about 7:15 p.m., brandished a handgun and demanded money.
The employee gave him $370 in cash before the robber ran from the gas station, the report said.No injuries were reported.
The suspect was described as a black man between 20 and 25 years old, about 5-feet-8-inches tall and about 130 pounds, the report said. He was last seen wearing a blue-and-white striped shirt.Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 843-524-2777.
