A two-car crash in Port Royal sent one person to the hospital with injuries Saturday night, according to Beaufort-Port Royal Fire Chief Reece Bertholf on Sunday.
A Nissan Versa and a Honda Accord collided at Ribaut Road and Drayton Drive shortly before 10 p.m., leaving the Nissan tolled over onto its side, according to the chief and photos provided by the fire department. Beaufort County EMS transported one person with what initially appeared to be non-life threatening injuries for medical treatment.
Southbound traffic on Ribaut Road was shut down for approximately 40 minutes after the crash, Bertholf said. Port Royal Police Department was also on scene.
