The American Red Cross is assisting a Jasper County couple whose home was destroyed by fire Thanksgiving afternoon.
The Pineland Fire Department responded to the blaze located on Cypress Branch Road in Pineland, according to a Red Cross news release.
No injuries were reported.
The Red Cross provided the victims with financial assistance for temporary lodging and replacement of food and clothing, along with comfort kits containing personal hygiene items and referrals to assist the family with long-term recovery needs, the release said.
