The town of Bluffton will plant live oaks on Arbor Day to honor former council members, according to a news release.
Two live oaks -- one each to honor former councilmen Oliver Brown and Michael Raymond -- will be planted April 25 at Oyster Factory Park on Wharf Street. Mayor Lisa Sulka and current council members will participate, the release said.
The town will also plant a magnolia tree in St. Joseph's Park at the Promenade.
Last year, the town planted 16 hardwood trees at all seven Bluffton school campuses after receiving a $5,000 grant.
