People were dropping off food donations in the back of the Bluffton Self Help building when volunteers received a surprise.
A woman stood to the side, waiting patiently as the cars packed with food were unloaded.
After the loading was done, she approached a Bluffton Self Help staff worker and gave her a check.
"Bluffton Self Help has helped me in the past when I was having a hard time," she said. "I'm in a good spot right now and just wanted to give a little something back."
Bluffton Self Help provides a broad range of human services for poor working families, the disabled, sick and elderly.
