Warmer conditions continue with clouds eroding in many areas. The risk of an isolated shower is very limited. Just more fog again later tonight and tomorrow. Pacific cold front zooms through Wednesday evening with our best chance of showers then a little cooler to end the week.
Clouds are slow-to-clear Statesboro-to-Claxton with temperatures trying to join the rest of us in the 70s with more sunshine. And several coastal showers have played out before making landfall. It’s the low-level moisture that’s pooling in the area and more areas of dense fog forming after midnight as the atmosphere saturates.
Once the fog clears tomorrow, mostly sunny skies will take over again with highs in the 70s. It’s Wednesday when we start the transition of the air masses. Models indicate plenty of moisture for showers ahead of the upper-level trough and surface cold front, and the models are a little aggressive. At this point, nothing severe expected.
The week ends with dry conditions and more seasonably temperatures. By the way, we look ahead to our first major winter storm crossing the country next week that may interrupt some holiday traveling. We will update the timing as we get closer.
