OSPREY Village would like to thank those who contributed to making our Oct. 7 "Take Flight" benefit dance at Montana's Restaurant and Grizzly Bar in Bluffton a rousing success.
We especially owe a huge debt of gratitude to Brian Raehm and "Target the Band" for coming up with the idea of the benefit dance for OSPREY Village, then enlisting the assistance of the Hilton Head Island Shag Club members under Ron and Vicki Bruno to organize and run a silent auction on our behalf. You folks rock.
Of course Target's music was a big hit with everyone. The dance floor was packed, even on a Sunday evening. Earl Williams and Lavon Stevens also came by to enliven the show with their musical talents, to the delight of the crowd.
Kudos go to manager Lynn Malvasio and all the crew at Montana's for cheerfully rearranging tables and serving up their popular food and beverages to the packed house of developmentally disabled adults, their families and friends who descended on their establishment.
Never miss a local story.
OSPREY Village is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group, working to develop a "neighborhood with a purpose" to provide housing and services for developmentally disabled adults in the area. We appreciate the community support for our organization's mission shown by our friends and volunteers who not only put on a great dance event, but also contributed to a fantastic fun evening for everyone who came through the doors at Montana's.
