A St. Helena Island man was arrested Wednesday more than a month after he led Beaufort County sheriff's deputies on a three-hour chase.
Joaquim Trehon Boone, 23, was found at about 10 a.m. by deputies responding to a domestic dispute at Laurel Village Mobile Home Park, according to Sgt. Robin McIntosh.
Authorities had been looking for Boone since May 10, when he allegedly fired a handgun at the ground near his girlfriend after an argument at Folly Field Grocery on Seaside Road, McIntosh said. When deputies approached, Boone fired several shots into the air as he ran into nearby woods.
Deputies searched for more than three hours before giving up, McIntosh said in May.
