Beaufort police have identified a 23-year-old Burton man today as the suspected gunman in a fatal shooting Tuesday night at a Beaufort Subway restaurant.
Rajerick Lovell Knight is suspected of fatally shooting Travis Sentell Holmes, 28, inside the restaurant along Robert Smalls Parkway, according to a Beaufort Police Department news release.
The Beaufort County SWAT Team raided Knight’s home in Burton late Wednesday but did not locate him, according to authorities.
Investigators did seize several pieces of potential evidence from Knight’s home, the release said.
Knight drives a black 1999 Ford Crown Victoria, is about 6 feet tall and has numerous tattoos, including one on the side of his neck that says “Peanut,” according to police.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
