"I'm Dreaming of a Red Christmas," an original radio theater play, will be held at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the LowCountry Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Bluffton. Written and directed by Bluffton resident Larry Hughes, the play is billed as a "dramedy about possibly true events" involving a Russian spy submarine harboring in the May River on Christmas Eve 1952. The shows will benefit Casting for Recovery-South Carolina, a breast cancer support program. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, and are available at Cookies by Design and Southern Drawl Outfitters in Moss Creek Village.

Evening of art to support charity
LowCountry Habitat for Humanity ReStore will present "An Evening of Lowcountry Art" featuring local artist Diane Britton Dunham from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at the ReStore, at 612 Parris Island Gateway, Beaufort.

Her works will be on display and some will be auctioned with money raised benefitting LowCountry Habitat for Humanity.

Dance students toperform 'Nutcracker'
The Hilton Head Dance Theatre's 25th annual "Nutcracker" ballet will be performed at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina for eight shows, opening Saturday through Nov. 14.
This year's performance will feature all of the Hilton Head dance school's nearly 300 students, as well as returning guest professional artists Peter Kozak, formerly of Joffrey Ballet and currently with Columbia City Ballet, and Daniel May, formerly with Atlanta Ballet. This year's "Sugar Plum Fairy" will be shared by Mackenzie Ogden, Ella Cuda and Caroline Santorum. The "Dew Drop Fairy" will be performed by Lane Allen. The gala will include food and a musical appearance by Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra.

Savannah honors greatest generation
The Veterans Council of Chatham County will host the "Celebration of the Greatest Generation" in honor of the completion of Savannah's World War II Memorial Monument at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Hyatt Regency Hotel's Harborside Room.
