Bluffton Fire District chief Barry Turner, along with other community and business leaders, helped raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association at a lockup fundraiser in which "jailed" volunteers call business associates, friends and relatives to raise "bail" for their release in the form of donations to MDA. The donations are used to fund research and provide services to people with neuromuscular diseases. The fundraising goal for Thursday's Bluffton-Okatie event was $50,000.
