The 22nd annual Lowcountry Soup Challenge to benefit Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head Island is scheduled for Jan. 19.
The event, in which local chefs make soup and attendees can eat all they want, will be from noon to 3 p.m. at The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa.
Two new soup categories, healthy soup and vegan soup, will be offered this year. A health walk on the beach, which starts at 11:30 a.m., also is new this year.
VIM is looking for chefs to participate in the soup challenge.
