A 14-year-old Lowcountry yoga studio will open its third location this summer.
Jiva Yoga, which started in 2001 and "slowly grew" to two locations on Hilton Head Island, will open a Bluffton studio at 3 Godfrey Place at the beginning of July, according to studio co-owner Jean Rioux.
She said the studio focuses on vinyasa yoga but offers more than a dozen types of classes, including restorative yoga, paddleboard yoga and yin yoga. Classes are taught seven days a week.
Rioux said Jiva Yoga also offers workshops and events -- such as tai chi, sunset beach yoga and yoga camp for kids -- and 200- and 300-hour certification programs. Jiva employs more than 20 instructors at its Hilton Head locations.
Never miss a local story.
"A lot of the same teachers will teach at the Bluffton location, but there will also be some new ones," Rioux said.
