Marriott's Grande Ocean resort on Hilton Head Island has launched a new program to help its owners and guests relieve stress and boost their mental and physical wellbeing while on vacation, according to a company news release.
On Thursday, Marriott Vacation Club unveiled clubTHRIVE at the resort, with participation from its other resorts on the island. The program focuses on four main elements: refuel, renew, move and explore, the release said.
The day included healthy food samplings that can be made in a villa kitchen, instructor-led classes in the resort pool, fresh air fitness, and stretching and relaxation classes, culminating in a 5K run along the beach between Marriott's Grande Ocean and Marriott's Monarch at Sea Pines Resort, according to the release.
Later this fall, clubTHRIVE will debut at Marriott Vacation Club resorts in Hawaii, Palm Desert, Calif., and South Florida, with continued rollout worldwide into 2015, the company said.
