A West Virginia man has been identified as a suspect in an auto shop break-in Wednesday in Ridgeland, according to the Ridgeland Police Department.
Christopher James Wines, 27, broke into Carolina Collision Center on Jacob Smart Boulevard, taking tools, a credit card and other items, a news release said. Wines has used the credit card at several locations and was identified by video surveillance, the release added.
He is wanted for second-degree burglary, and Ridgeland police also have three outstanding theft warrants and a vandalism warrant from incidents Jan. 7 and 9.
Wines also is being sought by the U.S. Marshals Service in connection with two stolen vehicles and a vehicle chase in Yemassee.
