Jordan Berliner, director of The Don Ryan Center for Innovation, has resigned to pursue other opportunities, according to a news release from the center.
Berliner led the center, a business incubator formed with Clemson University and the town of Bluffton, for more than a year. The release did not specify what his new work would be.
"I was honored to have led the Don Ryan Center for Innovation out of the gate and into a new level of growth for Bluffton. It is with pride I leave the center as a viable hub of innovation and economic development," Berliner said in the release. "After more than 30 years in business, I want to return to the business world."
The center celebrates its first anniversary this month and will graduate its first business from the incubator during a celebration May 30.
Deputy town manager Marc Orlando will serve as interim director until a new one is hired.
