The South Island Public Service District is warning customers about using outside companies to pay water bills.
Some websites are using the district’s logo without authorization and accepting water payments, according to a district news release. The district is not affiliated with those businesses, the release said.
The companies are charging a fee for the service, something that the district does not do, according to the release.
“Do not use any third party to pay your utility bill,” the release said. “Please use either the district’s website or your own banking institutions.”
