Canvass hearing today for Ridgeland election

Jasper County will hold a canvass hearing at 10 a.m. today at Ridgeland Town Hall to certify the results from Tuesday's town council elections.

Three candidates vied for two, at-large council seats. Incumbent Tommy Rhodes won 139 votes, newcomer Josephine Boyles received 122 and Chris DuBose had 58, according to Ridgeland clerk Penny Daley.
