  • Concert planned in honor of musician

  • Speed limit increased on Hilton Head bridge
    The S.C. Department of Transportation increased the speed limit on the Charles E. Fraser toll bridge and Palmetto Bay Road as of Wednesday. The new limit is 45 mph from the northern end of the toll bridge to just north of the signal at Target Road, near the Smokehouse restaurant.

    The Beaufort County Coroner's Office has identified the mother and son who were killed in a single-car crash Friday in Hilton Head Plantation as Blain Leonard Arvig, 31, and Emily Jean Arvig, 56.
