Two men were arrested Friday on charges connected with the shooting of a man parked at Bluffton's Hallmark White Oak Apartments.
Daquan Aiken, 19, was arrested by Bluffton police, and Dontae Collins, 20, by Varnville authorities at a relative's home, according to a news release.
Sean Kirby, 34, told Bluffton police he was called to the apartment complex on Haigler Boulevard on Tuesday for a painting job and was shot under the right armpit during an attempted robbery, Sgt. Joe Babkiewicz said. Kirby, who was in his truck during the incident, drove to Nickelpumpers Gas Station on Bruin Road about two miles away. There, he called 911 and was airlifted to a Savannah hospital.
Kirby was reported to be in stable condition Wednesday; an update on his condition was unavailable Friday.

He is charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, possession of a firearm in a violent crime, discharging a firearm into a vehicle and pointing a firearm at a person. He is in the Beaufort County Detention Center, and his bond had not been set Friday.
