The Bluffton Sunset Party Series continues with the May River Shrimp Festival — a two day feast of local shrimp, seafood, arts and music.
The family-friendly festival will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at The Bluffton Oyster Factory Park.
On Thursday, the Paradoxals will perform from 5 to 7 p.m., and The Chiggers will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. On Friday, Two Guys from OCD will perform from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and The Horan Brothers Band will perform from 6:45 to 9 p.m.
“The May River Shrimp Festival is our marquee Bluffton Sunset Party,” said Mark Weisner, event organizer. “This year’s festival will begin Thursday with the Arts Fair, where local artists will be showcasing and selling their artwork to the public. It’s also Ladies Night, featuring bands with female lead singers and two-for-one admission for the ladies. Friday will continue with the Arts Fair, Craft Beer Garden Book Mobile, Game Truck and more.”
“Our shrimp and seafood festival is a celebration of the summer in Bluffton and all of the things we love about it: delicious shrimp and seafood caught in our backyard and a chance to enjoy it with our friends, family, and neighbors on the beautiful backdrop of the May River with amazing sunset views,” commented Weisner.
Tickets are $5 at the door, while children 12 and under get in for free.
Attendees are welcome to bring their (leashed) dog and lawn chairs. No outside food or drinks will be allowed.
The festival will benefit Family Promise & Mental Health America/Beaufort-Jasper.
