Favorite mommy moment: "Her 7th birthday we took her surfing," she said. "She got up on the surfboard her first time ... She was up with the big boys, and she was this little 7-year-old girl. I was so proud of her. We have tons of great moments, like great report cards or whatever, but just seeing your little girl out there with all these huge teenage boys, and she was out there like it's no big deal. I loved it."
Most challenging moment: "She was sick a lot when she was (younger)," she said. "But I try to not even think of that anymore. ... They would strap her to a backboard and draw blood."
Stress reliever: "I like to go to the beach," she said. "All of your problems look crazy small next to the big, blue ocean."
Advice for other moms: "My grandmother gave me this one," she said. "And I love it. Listen now ... so they'll continue to talk to you when they're older. I love it. So I'll sit there and I'll listen to just the most boring stuff ever, but it's important to her now. So when she gets older, she's going to tell me what's important to her then."
