Name: Janet Williams
Husband: Mark
Town: Hilton Head Island
Children: Luke, 4; Anna Lynn, 3
Occupation: Financial adviser at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management
Go-to dinner: Chicken tacos
Biggest pet peeve: "When you don't do what you say and say what you do," Williams said.
Hobbies: "Well, I used to have hobbies," she said. "I've enjoyed running, reading, played some tennis and golf in my pre-Anna and Luke days."
Volunteer work: Williams is the president of the board for the Lowcountry Autism Foundation. She teaches Sunday School at St. Andrew By-The-Sea United Methodist Church. And she is a board member for The Leadership Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Alumni Association.
Favorite mommy moment: "The kiss and hug at bedtime is such a peaceful, wonderful thing," she said. "They always call me back in for something. And at first I used to be kind of annoyed and frustrated, 'Come on, guys. Go to bed.' But some of those goodnight moments are just some of my best mom moments. 'Mom, I want to tell you something about my day.' Or 'Mom, one more thing. ... I love you.'"
Most challenging moment: "I think just walking out the door in the morning for work," she said. "I love what I do, but it's hard to leave (the children)."
Stress reliever: A glass of wine and a book before bed
Advice for other moms: "They're not going to do what you tell them to do," she said. "They're going to do what you do. So be the best you can be."
