Whitney Allen Cubbage of Hilton Head Island and Charles Ray Coker Jr., of Anderson were married July 5, 2014, at St. Andrews Church in Mount Pleasant. Jimmy Kaiser officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Barbara Lanier Cubbage of Hilton Head Island and Mr. William Allan Cubbage of Plymouth, Mass. Whitney attended Hilton Head Christian Academy. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Furman University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from The Citadel. She is a member of Tri Delta sorority and teaches Math at Wando High School in Mount Pleasant.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ray Coker Sr., of Anderson. Chas attended TL Hanna High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Math and Secondary Education from Clemson University, and a Master in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. He is an Assistant Principal at Wando High School in Mount Pleasant.
The bride was given away by her brother William Allan Cubbage Jr. The Maid of honor was Laura Edwards of Chapin, S.C. Best man was the groom’s father, Charles Ray Coker Sr.
After a reception at The Citadel Beach House on Isle of Palms the couple honeymooned in Jamaica. They will make their home in Mount Pleasant.
