Weston Waight Jones of Bluffton and John Rhoades White, Jr. of Greenville were married Oct. 12, 2013, at Church of the Cross in Bluffton. The Rev. Dr. Charles E. Owens III officiated the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Weston Jones, Jr. of Bluffton. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va. She graduated in May 2013 from the University of South Carolina School of Law with a Juris Doctor and Master of Mass Communication. She is a judicial law clerk for the Hon. D. Garrison Hill in Greenville, S.C.
The groom is the son of Dr. John Rhoades White and Ms. Sallie Perrin White of Greenville. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. He graduated from USC School of Law in May 2012 with a Juris Doctor degree. He is an Associate Attorney with Dority & Manning, P.A. in Greenville where he focuses on intellectual property issues, primarily with patents.
The bride was given away by her father. She wore a Paloma Blanca alencon lace empire bodice and silk dupioni princess seamed gown with softly fluted skirt. The hemline is finished with a scalloped alencon lace. The back features an alencon lace keyhole, and buttons line down the back to the hem of the chapel length train. The veil is elbow length with a tulip cut, and finished with an alencon lace edge.

The bride’s sisters were her maid and matrons of honor. The maid of honor was Ms. Dorothy Elizabeth Jones of Charleston, S.C. The matrons of honor were Mrs. Mary Margaret McGaughey of Savannah, Ga., and Mrs. Priscilla Jones Stanzel of Seattle, Wash. The bridesmaids were Victoria Louise Christmas of Nashville, Tenn.; Jennifer Talbert Flanagan of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Kathleen Ann Kern of Washington, D.C.; Elizabeth Garson Koteles of Atlanta; Breanna Phillips MacBrien of Arlington, Va.; Emily Elise Rauers of Savannah, Ga.; Kaitlin Marie Simpson of Oxford, England; Anastasia Karpova Tinari of Chicago; and Perrin Porcher White of Greenville, S.C.
The best man was the groom’s father, Dr. John Rhoades White. Flower girl was Margaret Meriwether Trosdal, the bride’s niece. Ring bearer was David Weston Trosdal, the bride’s nephew.
The couple honeymooned in Sugar Beach, St. Lucia, and will live in Greenville.
