Casey Johnson and Richard Holt Bateman, were married June 2, 2012, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Hilton Head Island.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Joel Mandus and Mrs. Joanne Johnson of Hilton Head. The groom is the son of Mr. Thomas Robert and Mrs. Katherine Bateman of Weston, Mass.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The ceremony was officiated by Deacon John DeWolfe of Hilton Head. Maid of honor was Emily Johnson of Hilton Head, and matron of honor was Lindsay O’Connell of Arlington, Va., sisters of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Kyra Bateman, sister of the groom, of Charlestown, Mass.; Brandie Flahie Gehan of Dallas; and Catherine Melnick of Hilton Head.
Best man was Robert Bateman of New York, N.Y., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were William Currie of Charlestown, Mass., Sunpreet Sandana of Newington, N.H., Hans Paap of Austin, Texas, and Jonathan Buba of New York.
A reception followed at the Harbour Town Clubhouse in Sea Pines Plantation.
The bride earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. She received her Master’s of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is employed as the Practice Manager at Main Street Medical in Hilton Head.
The groom earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at Dickinson College. He received his Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University and is a licensed attorney in both New Hampshire and South Carolina. He is an attorney with the Mogil Law Firm in Hilton Head.
After their honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple will live on Hilton Head.
