Mary Sanford Allen Wysocki, of Hilton Head Island and John Arthur Howe, of Hilton Head Island, were married at 3:30 p.m. February 19, 2012 at the Shipyard Beach Club on Hilton Head Island.
The reception was held at The Crowne Plaza Resort.
The evening prior, the bride and groom hosted a rehearsal dinner party at their home on Hilton Head Island.
The Rev. Douglas K. Fletcher, Ph.D., Senior Pastor at The First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head Island officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. William Wheat Allen, Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late William Wheat Allen, Jr.
The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Arthur Howe of Lenexa, Kansas, and Kerrville, Texas.
Matron of honor was Mrs. George Mauldin Scott III, of Charlotte, N.C., niece of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Alexis Elizabeth Allen of Sykesville, Md., great niece of the bride.
Best man was Dr. Douglas James Howe of Santa Fe, N.M., brother of the groom.
Flower girls were Sadie Elizabeth Scott and Sallie Quinn Scott of Charlotte, N.C., great nieces of the bride.
Ring bearer was Connor John Allen of Sykesville, Md., great nephew of the bride.
Greeters were G. Robert Brown of Hilton Head Island, and Frances S. Morgantini of Bluffton, friends of the groom. Program attendants were Kim Abbott Brown of Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Anne Israel Calhoun of Auburndale, Fla., friends of the bride.
The bride received her Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising from Florida State University in 1976.
She is currently employed as the Resort Shop Manager and Buyer at The Sonesta Resort on Hilton Head Island.
The groom received his Bachelor of Science in Math and Physics from Lincoln Memorial University in 1964. He was awarded his MBA from The University of Hartford in 1976.
He is a retired financial advisor from Merrill Lynch and MorganStanley SmithBarney.
The couple honeymooned at Sandal’s Royal Caribbean Resort, Montego Bay, Jamaica.
They reside on Hilton Head Island.
