The lovely bride, who resides with her new husband in Columbia, MD, is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David L. and Francetta J. White of Hilton Head Island, and formerly of Columbia, MD.
The groom is the son of Mr. Marion R. and Commander Diana R. Terry of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The new Mrs. Melanie Terry earned her Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Virginia. She is a Financial Advisor and Registered Representative with New York Life Insurance Company, and an independent business owner.

Brannon Terry received his Associate's Degree from Connors State College in Warner, OK, a Bachelor's Degree from Howard University, Washington, D.C., and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH. He is employed by the U.S. Department of Justice.
The bride was given away in marriage by her parents. The officiant was the Reverend William Arnet, and Scripture was read by the bride's brother, Brian White of Torrance, CA.
Attending the bride were sister of the bride and Matron of Honor, Mrs. Monica (Diarra) Weir of Atlanta, GA, and classmates of the bride from the University of Virginia: Dr. Nicole Bates of Alexandria, VA; Miss Talaya Davidson of Fairfax, VA; and Atty. Lisa Hall Johnson of Upper Marlboro, MD.
Groomsmen were Best Man and cousin of the groom, Kyle Caddy of Miami, FL; Aki Thomas of Laurel, MD; Seye Aluko of Alexandria, VA; and Hekima Jackson of Baltimore, MD. The Honorary Ring Bearer was Master Caleb Weir, nephew of the bride.
Family members celebrating the occasion from Hilton Head Island included Mr. Thomas Curtis Barnwell, III and Mrs. Angela Barnwell, Mrs. Nell Hay, and Mrs. Rosa White Cromwell, who now resides in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
