Stacy Marie Lauderdale of San Diego, Calif., and Derek Andrew Littin of New York, N.Y. were married at 5:30 p.m. June 24, 2011, on the 18th Lawn of the Harbour Town Golf Links, Sea Pines Plantation, Hilton Head.
The bride is the daughter of Tom and Beverly Lauderdale of Hilton Head Island. The groom is the son of Bill and Jackie Littin of Hilton Head.
The bride and groom both grew up on Hilton Head.
The bride received her Ph.D. in Special Education from University of California, Riverside, her M.A. in Special Education from California State University, Northridge and her B.S. in Financial Management from Clemson University. She is an Assistant Professor in Special Education at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, N.J. with her research focusing on Autism.
The groom received his Bachelor of Science in Business from The Citadel. He is employed as an Enterprise Sales Representative for Brocade Networking.
Carl Schroeder officiated.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Tom Lauderdale. Maids of honor were Jennifer Lauderdale of Hilton Head, sister of the bride, and Lindsay Wray of Los Angeles, Calif.
Bridesmaids were Meredith Cone of Pauly’s Island, Elizabeth Lanahan of Norwalk, Conn., and Brooke Ellenberger, of Houston, Texas, all sorority sisters of the bride; Ashley Lauderdale of Charleston, sister-in-law of the bride; Jill Littin of Hilton Head, sister of the groom; Melissa Cox of San Diego, Calif., and Kari Ann Garron of Los Angeles, Calif.
Best men were Mike Spead of Washington, D.C. and Paul Sancimino of Monroe, Conn.
Groomsmen were Joey Varin of Charleston, Lekan Adesioye and James Mardis, both of Washington, DC, Conor Mclaughlin of New York, and Thomas Lauderdale of Charleston, brother of the bride.
Flower girls were Logan Young, niece of the bride, and Heidi Collins.
Following a honeymoon to Kauai, Hawaii, the couple resides in Scotch Plains, N.J.
