Megan Kimberly Qualey and John William Peter Meinen, of Salem, Mass., were married at 4:30 p.m. August 28, 2010, in St. Luke's Church, Hilton Head Island.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John (Jack) P. Qualey Jr., of Hilton Head Island. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Carver, of Oakton, Va. and Mr. Erik Meinen, of Fairfax, Va. The Rev. Bradley J. Barnes of Christ the King Presbyterian Church, Newton, Mass., officiated in the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jack Qualey.
Margaret Brooks, of Washington, D.C., was maid of honor. Lauren Akers, of Washington, D.C., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Claire Potter, of Little Rock, Ark., Tiffany Skidmore, of Charlotte, N.C., Ashley Raba of Washington, D.C., Whitney Pennington of Newport, Calif., and Kristen Scott of S. Hamilton, Mass.
Best Man was Matt Scott of S. Hamilton, Mass. Groomsmen were Sam Casey IV of Matthews, N.C., Todd Beall of Cedarville, Ohio, Matt Daniel of Denver, Colo., Blake Ware of Oxford, Miss., David Klaassen of Washington, D.C., and Jack Qualey III, brother of the bride, of Hilton Head Island, S.C.

The reception was held at Berkeley Hall Club in Bluffton.
The bride graduated from The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, N.J., and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Davidson College, and a post graduate degree in Outdoor Education from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She is an outdoor instructor at the Crane Estate, Ipswich, Mass., and at Project Adventure, Beverly, Mass.
The groom graduated from Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, Va., and the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in International Affairs and a minor in Economics. He is currently a Masters of Divinity student at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Mass.
Following a honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii, the couple will reside in Salem, Mass.
