Brown, Rhodes engaged

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grady Brown III, of Beaufort announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Hurst Brown, to Thomas Lee Rhodes III, son of Virginia Tindal Rhodes and Thomas Lee Rhodes Jr., of Summerton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Billy Campbell Hurst, of Chesterfield, and the late Mr. Billy Campbell Hurst, and Mrs. Henry Grady Brown of Myrtle Beach and the late Mr. Henry Grady Brown Jr.

She is a graduate of Beaufort Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Clemson University where she was also a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She is employed by Amelia T. Handegan, Inc. of Charleston. The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. D. Leslie Tindal, of Pinewood, and the late Mrs. D. Leslie Tindal and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lee Rhodes.

He is a graduate of Clarendon Hall and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Management from Clemson University where he was also a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He is Vice President of RGS, Inc.

The wedding is planned for May 15, 2010, at Sea Island Presbyterian Church in Beaufort.
