The Hilton Head Island High School volleyball team didn't win the state title it was after Saturday, but the Seahawks picked up plenty of honors when the South Carolina Coaches Association of Women's Sports released its all-state and all-star teams Monday.

Hilton Head High outside hitter Carly Ledbetter led the long list of award winners, as the Seahawk senior was named the Class 3-A player of the year. Teammate Nysa Hicks joined Ledbetter among the 18 players on the Class 3-A all-state team, as did Bluffton's Shay Peterson.

The trio also was named to the Class 3-A/4-A South all-star team, as was Bluffton's Haley Sulka. Hilton Head High coach Chris Gray will serve as one of the two coaches for the all-star squad.
