"Southern Charm" star Thomas Ravenel announced on Twitter Monday night that he won't be part of a potential second season of the Bravo reality show.
"If there is a season 2 of #SouthernCharm, I will not be a participant. I do wish the show the best though," Ravenel said on Twitter.
While this is a T-Ravesty to be sure, it is understandable. T-Rav and girlfriend Kathryn Dennis had a child together in March. In addition to his new fatherhood duties, the 51-year-old dad also announced plans to run for the U.S. Senate.
At the end of the first season of "Southern Charm," T-Rav told Andy Cohen on "What What Happens Live" that he would campaign as an independent if Republican Lindsey Graham were to win this month's GOP primary.
It would be nice to have cameras around to catch all of T-Rav's inevitable political blunders and new-daddy drama with Kathryn, but we suppose we can be comforted if Shep, Cameran and Patricia Altschul are still featured prominently. Heck, someone give Patricia her own show already.
Bravo has not announced a second season of "Southern Charm." Yet.
