St. Helena Island native and "American Idol" season 12 winner Candice Glover revealed some exciting news on Wednesday night's "Idol" season 14 finale.
"This year I'm going to be coming out with new music. I'm going to be in a stage play. And the biggest surprise -- I don't want to say too much because I don't want to jinx it but we are talking about a new reality show coming out really soon," Glover told Billboard from backstage.
Glover said the potential show would document her journey post-"Idol" and highlight the challenges she faces trying to maintain her identity in the the music industry, Billboard reported.
Glover also said she's working on new music for a second album that is "a bit more in your face" and takes more chances.
Never miss a local story.
At the finale, 29-year-old Nick Fradiani took home the title, beating out Clark Beckham. Fox announced this week that next season's "American Idol" will be the last.
Glover told reporters she'd love to return to "Idol" in some capacity for season 15, but not if it meant competing against past winners.
