The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra with Conductor John Morris Russell will continue the 32nd season with "The Jazz Age," a tribute to America's contribution to world culture. The performances will be at 4 and 8 p.m. Jan. 19 and 20 at First Presbyterian Chuch, 540 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island.
As part of the orchestra's Young Artists program, two high school students will be featured. Tyler Magnin, a sophomore at the S.C. Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, will play piano. Brian Stuligross, a senior at Hilton Head Island High School, will play violin.
The orchestra will be joined by saxophonist Corey Dundee in Glazunov's Concerto for Alto Sax and Orchestra and Debussy's Rhapsodie for Alto Sax and Orchestra. Stravinsky's Pulcinella Suite and Gershwin's An American in Paris will begin and end the program. Tickets are $25, $40 and $50. Details: 843-842-2055 or www.hhso.org
