Beaufort could get a hometown visit from Candice Glover this weekend.
The St. Helena Island native will perform in Wednesday's Top 4 on "American Idol," which airs from 8 to 10 p.m. on Fox. She will find out if she advances to the Top 3 during Thursday's "Idol" show, which airs from 8 to 9 p.m.
Each season, the Top 3 contestants have held a hometown concert and parade, which is aired on the show the following week.
"Idol" cannot confirm any details about the hometown concerts, including time, date or location. The past two seasons, the hometown concerts and parades have been held the Saturday before the Top 3 perform.
"('American Idol') will pretty much lay out what they want, and we'll have to accommodate and put a Beaufort spin on it," Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling said. "To the extent possible, there's no doubt the community is going to want to roll out the red carpet."
