The sixth annual ArtWalk is from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The galleries also will be open noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Beaufort is known for its art galleries, and this Saturday is a prime time to check them out.
Eleven galleries will showcase a special exhibition as part of the annual ArtWalk from 5 to 7 p.m., presented by the Guild of Beaufort Galleries. With so many galleries, it may be hard to keep them straight.

FOUR WINDS GALLERY, 709 Bay St.
Cassandra Gillens presents colorful Gullah portraits, and University of South Carolina Beaufort's Amiri Ferris mixes social realism and original imagery. Laizee Rivers Band will perform.
I. PINCKNEY SIMONS GALLERY, 711 Bay St.
Elena Madden's "Reflecting on Reflections and More" and Debbie Martin's "Our Southern Landscape: The Atmosphere and the Beauty" both explore themes of water and landscape.
THE BAY STREET GALLERY, 719 Bay St.
Two new artists are featured: Nancy Pollock's mosaics and Michael B. Pearson's botanical watercolors.
THE GALLERY, 802 Bay St.
Exhibits include Anita Prentice's "Fish, Fashion and Flora" and Ginny Piech Street's collage and sculpture in "Jeter Wayne and Verlene's Party."
INDIGO GALLERY, 813 Bay St.
The boutique gallery features several Beaufort artists, including Sandra Baggette, Alison Crossmann, Gloria Dalvini, Janet Mozley and Polly Swenson.
THE CRAFTSELLER, 818 Bay St.
The gallery features pottery, jewelry, paintings and glass.
RHETT GALLERY, 901 Bay St.
Four generations of artists produce paintings, prints and wildfowl carvings.
ART AND SOUL, 917 Bay St., Suite B
The Old Bay Marketplace gallery celebrates its 10th anniversary with more than a half dozen artists presenting new work with an environmental theme.
THE BEAUFORT ART ASSOCATION GALLERY, 1001 Bay St.
This members exhibition celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Hunting Island Lighthouse, and Kim Bogan presents "Today, I am and Artist."
LYBENSONS GALLERY AND STUDIO, 211 Charles St.
You'll find African and Gullah folk art, sculptures and more.
