I'm starting to feel like Alice in Wonderland

Now let me see if I've got this straight. The Department of Health and Human Services put out a request in January for a contractor who could provide for the transportation of an expected 65,000 unaccompanied alien minors from our southern border to holding facilities in other parts of the country.

Now we are told we can't refer to them as alien minors, and that we will need to plan for an additional 95,000 of them to arrive next month, so we need a special appropriation of $3.7 billion to provide food, clothing, shelter, medical care and lawyers to help them with their deportation hearings. All this when we can't afford to provide decent health care for our armed forces veterans?

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama is flying Air Force One to Democrat fundraisers in Texas, but doesn't have time to visit the border to assess the crisis his administration has declared. But he is going to take time out from his busy schedule for a two-week vacation to Martha's Vineyard in August to soak up some rays and play golf.

Five and a half years and $7 trillion later and we haven't been able to build a fence along our southern border. But it's more secure than ever? Did I just fall down a rabbit hole? Is that a Cheshire Cat I see in that tree over there? Obama is in Wonderland.
