Deputies are still searching for a man who robbed a Bluffton bank Monday afternoon, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office news release.

The robber entered TD Bank, 1021 Fording Island Road, at about 1:30 p.m., placed a paper bag on the counter and demanded cash, advising the tellers he had a gun, the release said. He did not show a weapon.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No customers were inside the bank at the time of the robbery, and no injuries were reported, the release said.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5-foot-7, 175 pounds, with brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing a long-sleeved, dark blue, plaid button-up shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, a blue baseball cap and sunglasses.

It was the third bank robbery in Beaufort County in less than a month.

On June 24, a man wearing a red dress, a black hat, a wig and purple glitter lipstick robbed the Regions Bank on Lady's Island before pedaling away on a bicycle, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Then on July 1, two men held up the Atlantic Community Bank on the south end of Hilton Head Island. The robbers were described as black males. One was wearing a white golf shirt with gray stripes and a black hat. The other wore a black shirt and jeans and covered his face with a pillowcase, according to the Sheriff's Office.

No suspects have been arrested in any of the cases.
