Two longtime friends decided not to press charges against each other after a fight about fast food put one of them in the hospital, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Late Tuesday night, two Burton men fought after one of the men returned to his home on Pine Grove Road with meals for several other people, but brought his friend only french fries, according to a Sheriff's Office report.

When the man who got only french fries was walking to his truck to leave, the two men got into a fight and the man leaving was cut on the face with a knife, according to the report. When the victim arrived at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital emergency room, sheriff's deputies were called to investigate, the report said.

After both men talked with investigators, each said they would not press charges, according to the report.
