I’m just confoundedby Obama’s words

Hilton Head Island PacketJuly 8, 2014

As a patriot, I live a life trying to embrace conservative Christian values everyday. As one who cares for the future of our children and our country, I have been confused and dismayed by the words and actions of our president ever since he took the oath of office on January 20, 2009. On that day he said, “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Hope and Change? What happened?
Many other statements have also confused me throughout his presidency, “phony scandals,” “not a smidgen of corruption” — and most recently — when he took unilateral action without the approval of Congress he said, “It’s not crazy. It’s not socialism. I’m not an imperial president.”
So, just what is this “Obama speak”? Yes, of course, it’s a code. That’s it! Thanks to a friend who is a docent at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum, I was allowed to use their World War II German Enigma machine that was used to decode secret German military messages. I carefully fed the president’s words into the machine and turned the dials. Immediately the answer was revealed. The interpretation of each statement is simply the opposite. So, in “Obama Speak,” Obama is the best president we have ever had. Right Mr. President?
On Election Day, vote for hope and change.
