Two men and two women were robbed at gunpoint while staying at a Hilton Head Island hotel Sunday, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Two men, ages 23 and 33, were visiting with two female friends in a room at the Ramada Inn at 200 Museum St., according to Lt. Mike Riley. One of the women opened the room's door, and two men armed with handguns entered, ordering the four occupants to the ground and demanding their money.

A Samsung Galaxy cellphone, a prepaid cellphone, two wallets and car keys worth a total of $535, as well as $1,200 in cash, were stolen, Riley said.

The suspects fled and the victims were unharmed, Riley said.
