Extended flight training at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort has caused louder than normal noise in northern Beaufort County, but the training will be limited over the weekend.

The six-day carrier landing training, which simulates different approaches to aircraft carriers, started Wednesday, running between 7 a.m. and 1 a.m. during the week. However, it will be suspended Saturday, according to an air station news release.

On Sunday, training will be from 4 to 6 p.m.

Training will be from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday and Tuesday to complete the six-day cycle.
