Consultants have updated potential branding material for the town of Port Royal.

The town's Redevelopment Commission recommended Monday that Town Council approve a logo with an anchor design and the tagline "Port Royal. Cool. Coastal. A Little Out There."

Council put $40,000 in the 2015 fiscal year budget, which begins July 1, for marketing and advertising.

Council members are expected to consider the branding options in July. Consultant Rawle Murdy Associates of Charleston created three logos and three taglines and is suggesting ways town officials can market the community.
