The Beaufort County School District's adult-education program will hold information and training sessions for volunteer tutors.

The first session will be from 5 to 6 p.m. July 28 in the new adult education site at 1300 King St., Beaufort. This session will inform participants about various volunteer tutor opportunities.

Participants can then decide whether to be trained as tutors for "English for Speakers of Other Languages" classes. Those training sessions will be from 5 to 8 p.m. July 29 to 31 at the adult-education building. New volunteers are required to attend all four sessions.
