Ashley Brittis and Greg Weppner, both of Miami, were married April 12, 2014, at St. Regis Bal Harbour in Miami Beach. Frank Nunez officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony. The intimate black-tie affair was attended by 100 of the couple’s closest friends and family.

The bride grew up on Hilton Head Island and is the daughter of Dr. John and Maria Brittis of Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton. 

The groom, who proposed to Ashley in Paris in April 2013, grew up on Hilton Head Island and is the son of Michael and Betsy Weppner of Hilton Head Island. 

The bride was given away by her father. 

Maid of honor was Leanna Brittis of New York, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were friends Morgan Martin of Hilton Head Island, Kim Solomon of Hilton Head Island, Stephanie Lewis of New York, Brittany Sinatra of New York, and Nicole Medini of New York.

Best man was Michael Weppner of New York, brother of groom. Groomsmen were Richard Calderon of New York, friend of groom; Nicholas Brittis of Bluffton, brother of the bride; and Tim Nolan of Hilton Head Island, brother-in-law of groom.

Ring bearer was Bizzy-Boo, the couple’s pomino. A Champagne Saber ceremony kicked off the reception and Marie Antoinette inspired dancers surprised guests with masquerade masks for everyone. Re-Mix, along with vocalist Laura Vivas from “The Voice,” entertained the crowd.  

The couple honeymooned in Capri, Italy, and live in Miami.
